God warns us that when we follow Him, the world will not understand. We will be mocked, scorned, excluded and insulted. But he also promises all good things to those who He calls His own.
Our family is in a season where this is all too real to us, in more ways than one.
What God is teaching me right now:
"Blessed are you when men hate you,
when they exclude you and insult you
and reject your name as evil,
because of the Son of Man."
{Luke 6:22}
Psalm 7
"Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have,
because God has said,
'Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."
So we say with confidence,
'The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?'"
{Hebrews 13:5-6}
“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed but not in despair, persecuted but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed…Therefore we do NOT lose heart.”
{2 Corinthians 4:7-8, 16}
"Cast your cares on the Lord,
He will sustain you.
He will never let the righteous fall."
{Psalm 55:22}
1 friends had a thing or two to say...:
God will never leave you or forsake you... The best promise there ever was! Praying for you and your family, Darlene. Take it from someone that is almost 49 and has seen heartache and trouble. He never will...ever EVER leave you or forsake you. Ever. Keep leaning in. Love from here... -Jackie
