A gift I rarely use

I am rediscovering, slowly but surely, my love for painting.

I am newly-discovering my love for painting flowers.

Here is the flower I painted for Tammy's wedding present:
I miss painting.
With each passing year, I promise myself that I will paint more....
but alas. It does not seem to happen.

Maybe now that I need to be more resourceful, I should start up again.
.... ah, but they are not called "starving artists" for no reason.

But I am longing for some canvas time. where I can study each detail of God's beautiful creation.

{While on the subject of Tammy's wedding...
I thought I would throw in this picture of me and my precious sis.
Her wedding.... was just awesome.
I have not had that much fun in years.
I am so happy for you, Tam.}

So,
Do tell.

What joy or gift do you have that you rarely get a chance to use?

Do you miss it??

6 friends had a thing or two to say...:

Love the painting. You truly have a gift. I am a painter as well, have no formal training, and paint mostly abstract. I get to paint on canvass at church during worship. I use the inspiration of the Holy Spirit through movement and color and paint mostly with my hands. You can look at some of my paintings here:

I love to do mixed-media works, turning envelopes and cards into little pieces of my art work..I need to do it more!

Thanks for the inspiration!

It is so nice to meet you Darlene. Thank you for visiting my blog.
I so understand what you mean about painting...time to study each detail, soak in the different colors, actually “feeling” the beauty that you are seeing in God’s beautiful creation. Though I don’t paint, I get those same feelings from photography. I quit for a while, but have recently been enjoying this little pleasure of mine.
Again, I am so glad to meet you! Your sons are sooo handsome!

Hi there!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and for praying for us. =)

I love your painting...it's beautiful.

Also, I'm going to look into the meal planning...I'm always looking for help with that subject! How's it going for you?

One more thing...do you use My Father's World? That's what we purchased...just praying that we will have the opportunity to use it.
