Oh, how thankful I am for this verse:
Lamentations 3:22-24 (New International Version)
"22 Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;

great is your faithfulness.
24 I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion;
24 I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him."'
I had a rough week last week. Some weeks in mothering, I have come to realize, are just not great. It just so happens that, on occasion, both of your children are having a bad week.... which makes momma have a bad week.
And then, you know what they say: "when momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!"
But that was yesterday.
Today is a new day, and even though Christian is still teething, saying "NO!!" as much as he gets the opportunity, stealing toys, and hitting.......
even though Caleb bit his brother several times yesterday, disobeyed at nearly EVERY given opportunity last week, decided he was going to talk baby-talk 24-7 from now on, and is still making many "bad choices"...
even though....
His compassions NEVER fail.
His mercies are new every morning.
An unlimited fount of living water..........
for a tired, but loved, mommy.
with a new morning.
