Caleb is home from the hospital!!

We are home from the hospital!!
Caleb's appendix is out (or "the rock in my belly is gone")!
Thank you to everyone for your prayers!! Caleb's surgery could not have gone any more smoothly!

We got to the Children's Hospital at 6 AM!!!! Caleb was such a trooper. They took him into surgery right away, which is such a blessing because he did not have to go hungry for long. His surgery went without a hitch, and he has been recovering SO smoothly. Believe it or not, we were even discharged last night!! We did not even stay in the hospital one night!

We were all in bed by 8 pm last night, however! Everyone is doing great today. Praise be to God for all of the smooth details, and for Caleb's continued health.

I have said it before, and I will say it again: Your prayers a precious treasure to us. Thank you!

Here are some pictures from our day:

Prepping for surgery:

A few hours after surgery:

Playing with a favorite toy that he remembered from his last visit:

Cute in my dino robe:
Caleb loves pushing his IV station:

Never too sick to eat doughnuts!!:

Enjoy this hilarious video of Caleb in the pre-op room. They had given him a very strong Valium, and he was... well.... drunk.

He was trying to spell his name, and falling asleep in between letters. He was also having fun trying to say the word: "Sphygmomanometer"... which is the fancy term for Blood Pressure Machine. It is one of his favorite words, and he normally says it just fine and has fun saying it! It is so funny to hear him say it here:

Thank you, once again, for all of your prayers. We are so relieved, and happy to be home.

Now, as Caleb will tell you, he no longer has a "Rock in his Tractor!"

15 friends had a thing or two to say...:

Darlene!
I didn't know Caleb was having surgery! Forgive me, our entire house has been down with the yucks. But I rejoice with you that it went so smoothly and you are all home safe and sound where you should be.

Praise God!

What a little trooper, so glad to hear he is home and doing well. My son watched the video of Caleb with me...he said "who is that nice boy mommy?" LOL.

So glad to hear that it went well. Sending babies into surgery is never easy...even for common things like this! (both my boys had their tonsils out you wouldn't thought I was sending them off to war the way I cried about it!) Hope everyone is getting some rest at your place! Tell Caleb is is a trooper and so brave! What a cute boy!
