Hog Heaven!That is where my family was this past Sunday, at Caleb's 3rd Birthday Party. We had such a wonderful, wonderful time. We had 4 of Caleb's friends, and their families, over for a Farm Tractor party.
The highlight of the party: We had a tractor ride!!! A friend of a friend was sooo very kind to bring his tractor over and we hitched up our neighbors trailer. We even had hay, but only because we are planting grass seed around the house. God is so cool. We have NEVER had hay on this property before. And this is a terrible time to plant grass... it has been over 90 every day, with no sight of rain. And it just so "happens" that we have hay??? So cool. This was yet another little, big gift from God to Caleb (see here)!!
Farmer Caleb was delighted! He loved his friends; he loved his tractor ride; he loved his cake; he loved his gifts; he loved the balloons. It was the most fun!!!!
Farmer Christian was not too happy! Poor guy has seperation anxiety, and he was getting passed around to all of my super-helpful friends and family. He was freaked out by all of the stimulation, and he screamed and screamed until he just fell asleep! I do have one decent picture of him eating. I may have to stage a few Farmer pictures of my boys later on....
For those moms looking for party ideas: I included a picture of the invite, the cake, the outfits my boys wore (yes, I did. I know. I know. oh well... once a theatre chick, always a theatre chick!!!), the favors bags, and the balloons. I had a lot of fun with this, so it did not stress me out at all! If this kind of party seems stressful to you, don't do it! The point is, make the day FUN (and if momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy)!
Anyway, much fun was had by all!

My goodness, this made me miss you all so much. My heart is hurting because I want to be there to share this with you! Your little boy is three! What a great party. Didn't even realize you were doing it- so exciting. Loved the invites and the costumes, of course. :-) What a great day.
